Title: Merchandiser/Shop Assistant
A Merchandiser/Shop Assistant contributes to driving sales through product merchandising, styling, and display support to create a compelling visual environment for the customer. They are responsible for effectively and efficiently managing the Golf Shop soft goods inventory and sales. Ensures the highest level of customer service as meets expectations of Club members. Performs all work in accordance with essential functions and responsibilities as described below in the spirit of the clubs mission and vision.

Experience Required

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of industry standards and quality apparel
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work well with others
• Familiarity with golf
• Computer skills (Excel, Word, Publisher)
• Polished and professional in manner and appearance.

Experience/Education:

• Bachelors or Associates degree
• Interest in retail apparel merchandising and buying with previous golf shop experience

preferred.

Essential Responsibilities

Duties shall include but not be limited to:

• Assist Merchandiser and promotes product through creative and attractive displays.
• Rotates merchandise displays. Ensures shop merchandise appearance is neat and orderly.
• Sells product in a professional, informative, and friendly manner.
• Tidiness of Golf Shop: steaming, folding, dusting, etc
• Works on placing orders for members, maintains logs, follows up with member, and properly

receives merchandise.

• Customer Service: Assisting members with finding what they need in a warm and friendly

environment.

• Process sales, as well as pricing/selling new product through the POS.
• Answering phone calls
• Assist the professional staff with daily tasks
• Performs other duties as designated by the Head Professional or Buyer
• Closing procedures
