Job Summary:

The candidate will be considered a seasonal temporary worker during the peak season who will be responsible for performing a variety of different warehouse, distribution, shipping, receiving, and kitting functions. Also, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe work environment and adhering to established standards for production and quality as well as to company expectations.

Essential Functions:

• Receiving product through a Manhattan Warehouse Management System.
• Picking and packaging of parts and accessories for shipping.
• Understand how to read process sheets, manufacturing instruction sheets, or other job-related documentation.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment by complying with the JSAs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Rules, and plant safety rules. Also responsible for reporting quality and safety issues to management.
• Daily and regular attendance is required.
• Works overtime as required.
• Has the physical ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform these tasks, as specified in the Physical Requirements section of this Job Description.
• Be available to work on all shifts if needed including Saturday.

Marginal Duties:

• Record production and material levels as needed.
• Ensure proper levels of materials are available for production.
• Manage hazardous waste activities including, but not limited to, container management, container transfer and container inspections when applicable.
• Contributes to team effort by assisting where needed to ensure continuity of operations.
• Assists with employee training as needed.
• Communicates any issues or maintenance needs or irregularities with relieving employee to ensure and maintain efficient operations at shift change.
• Attends required meetings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and/or carry 25 -50 pounds occasionally, stand for 8 hours/day and occasionally twist, bend, climb, grasp and other repetitive movements.
• Must be able to work in all plant environments within warehouse and distribution.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:

• Must be 18+ years old.
• HS Diploma or GED.
• Must have the ability to read process sheets.
• Must have the ability to read bills of material.
• Must have the ability to read and follow standardized work instructions.
• Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbal with supervision and work associates in the completion of job responsibilities.
