Responsibilities
Under the oversight of the KS LS Director and the MD Laboratory Director, the KS LS Department Satellite Laboratory Compliance Manager monitors and reports the quality, safety, and overall compliance of the KS LS Satellite Laboratory testing program. This manager will maintain compliance with departmental and organizational policies and procedures, as well as local/state/federal standards and regulations. Monitoring, compliance assessments, and reporting for all Satellite laboratory testing performed in Kelsey-Seybold network are within scope for this position to include in-clinic departments, remote clinical operations, and waived tests, if any, that are performed in KS organization, Provider Performed Microscopy (PPM), MOHS clinic, Dermatopathology operations, and ASC frozen specimen processes

Salary Range: $97,219 – $120,099 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Qualifications
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution
Experience
- Required: 5 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in clinical laboratory setting or laboratory business setting.
- Regulatory compliance responsibility to include primary contact for inspectors and consultation with Laboratory Operations during development of corrective action plans, devise implementation schedules and ongoing monitoring for CLIA certifications (waived, PPM, and compliance). Demonstrated experience with AAAHC, CAP, OSHA, and CLIA requirements
Preferred: 3-5-years’ management experience with regulatory compliance responsibility to include oversight of Compliance, PPM, and Waived certifications
License(s)
Required: MLT/MT ASCP or equivalent. Valid driver’s license
Preferred: MT ASCP or equivalent
Special Skills
- Required: Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Preparation and analysis of quarterly and monthly reports
- Knowledgeable of waived, moderate, and high complexity test performance, regulatory requirements, and quality control/ proficiency testing and monitoring
Familiar with billing and results distribution requirements
Preferred: Experience developing and implementing laboratory quality programs

- Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to deliver organized and concise presentations tailored to audience.
- Flexibility -must be able to work extended shifts or weekends in situations deemed necessary by management.
- Excellent time management skills- ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Effective leadership skills to include change management, staff and team development and project management
- Practical knowledge of routine laboratory equipment and procedures
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills
