Description of Duties:
The Mid-Level Configuration Manager supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
- Conduct comprehensive audits of artifacts and asset inventories to create and maintain accurate, as-built models and drawings for assigned area.
- Use Visio and other modeling tools to create and maintain as-built configuration drawings or models.
- Review and research Change Requests and other work vehicles to complete tasks using Remedy™ ticketing system.
- Consult with engineers to understand configuration changes to update all related drawings and artifacts.
- Update and maintain the Configuration Management System (CMDB).
- Help update and maintain property records.
The successful candidate will:
- Work under minimal supervision
- Prioritize assignments for themselves and junior personnel to complete work in a timely manner
- Provide useful suggestions on improving processes
- Maintain a positive and friendly working relationship with customers and peers
- Have strong interpersonal skills
- Have a sharp eye for details
- Have the ability to move between big-picture to small details thinking when needed.
This position can be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO or Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL
This position is expected to pay $100,000 - $110,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days. If a candidate has not been selected at that time, it will continue to be posted until a suitable candidate is selected or the position is closed.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Basic Requirements:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 16 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 14 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 10 years of general experience
- Must have 8 years of directly related experience
- Must have 5 years of experience in management or leadership roles
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Requirements:
- Be proficient in Microsoft Visio
- Have experience using Remedy™ ticketing system
- Have a working knowledge of networking concepts
- Have experience working with Configuration Management
- Have a current DoD 8570 approved IAT Level II certification such as Security+
- Have an ITIL certification
- Have experience with Model Based Engineering or a Modeling tool (such as IBM Rhapsody)
