Middle School Math RTI Teacher (Fall 2023 opening) Job at Falmouth Public Schools
RTI Math Teacher Falmouth Middle School is looking for a passionate Response to Intervention (RTI) Math Teacher who will work directly with individual and small groups of students as well as collaborate with classroom teachers to support students with math needs. The ideal candidate will have an extensive skill set in mathematics and demonstrate deep understanding of differentiation, scaffolding, strategy instruction, math content at the middle level of education, and the developmental needs of adolescents. The role requires flexibility and collaborative skills. The RTI teachers caseload and time with students is comparable to other full time teachers in the district.
The duties of this position will include: the planning, implementation, and instruction of Tier III pull-out and substantially separate Math RTI student support. scheduling students for support timeproviding alternative testing settings for students when applicable.Working in collaboration with others to review student progress and to determine appropriate and individualized interventions meeting with elementary RTI staff to plan and review 6th grade placement and high school RTI staff to review 9th grade placement.Conducting a regular review of the programming in collaboration with administration and the team.Participating in regular math Content Team meetings, and building and district professional learning.willing to teach a small group math class when needed.scheduling and administering RTI assessments for diagnostic testing and growth measuresMaintaining accurate records on student data and communicating regularly with teachers and families Qualifications / Certifications / Experience / Degree requirement Maine Teaching Licensure (or eligibility)Experience working with RTI students in a pull-out settingBackground in Special Education preferredApproved background check (run by the district) Falmouth Public Schools are located in three buildings on a 100-acre K-12 campus in Falmouth Maine, a coastal community bordering the city of Portland.
