Overview:

JHNA is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Science and Technology Program Integrator to exercise initiative to support the integration and cross fertilization of S&T programs, lead program leaders in integration of program for our government customer within the Army Technology Development Directorate - Aviation Systems Integration and Demonstration at Fort Eustis, located in Newport News, VA. This role will support our Mission System Division Science and Technology development office in execution of S&T initiatives. This role will require up to 20% travel This position is full time and the candidate will work on site supporting the client from government site (Fort Eustis, VA) or from our corporate office location in Newport News, VA.with ability to tele-work as the mission allows.


Responsibilities

As a member of a Science and Technology development team overseeing maturation of candidate manned and unmanned aviation science and technology development programs and initiative:

  • Integrate and cross fertilize Army Aviation's Mission System S&T program execution plans across 4 technical areas/branches including: Intelligent Teaming, Human System Interface, Avionics and Networks and Survivability that reflects technical goals, schedule, resource loading and dependencies across relevant programs. The plans will be used to aide in the socialization, execution and de-confliction of efforts. Support those areas to communicate their plans and objectives to senior leaders
  • Act for Division Chief in the operations of the Mission System Integrated Process Team as IPT Secretary, responsible for coordinating IPT member participation, agenda setting to enable integration, information assembly for the IPT, action tracking and resolution. Plan, host and / or participate in virtual and face-to-face meetings and document proceedings and / or results of meetings as required.
  • Interact with senior engineering science and technology government staff and supporting contract team members to coordinate program execution and activities within the Technology Development Directorate as well as external organizations as necessary to support development of Mission Systems for the Army Future Vertical Lift program. Support efficient integrated execution of relevant S&T efforts including the development, demonstration, testing and evaluation of integrated capabilities.
  • Gather information through virtual means (computer, telephone, Video Teleconference, etc.) and on-site interactions (local and at temporary duty locations) and develop and maintain a "smart book/file' about programs and technologies that are relevant to the execution of projects and tasks being supported or executed.
  • Clearly communicate using written (email, white papers, etc.) and verbal (presentations, telecons, etc.) means with Senior leaders, and individuals and groups involved in the execution or oversight of relevant programs to 'tell the story' to assist with continued support and funding.
  • Provide recommendations and decision support to Senior Aviation Leaders for technical and programmatic aspects of program execution including, but not limited to: contracting, budget, engineering, test and evaluation, risk management and transition.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD issued Secret Clearance.
  • Willingness to travel to government/DOD sites up to 20% of the time and meet health screening requirements as appropriate.
  • 10 or more years post-degree experience in engineering, program management, capabilities development, requirements processes (JCIDS) or science and technology development of aircraft systems,
  • Experience with DoD science and technology development process and organizations.

Desired:

  • Prior Military experience in DoD Aviation
  • Graduate of Defense Acquisition University Program Manager's course or PMP courses.
  • Experience in evaluation of science and technology systems under development, design and evaluation in rotary wing or unmanned aerial aircraft
  • S Citizen with a DoD issued Top Secret Clearance with SBI.
  • Experience with in one or more of the following: autonomy technologies, modular open system approach techniques, human system interface technologies, aircraft survivability; and/or aircraft electronics and networks technologies
  • Capable of analyzing and integrating complex data, drawing reasonable and logical system-level conclusions, and developing courses of action for senior leadership and test decision forums
  • Capable of establishing and optimizing priorities and managing planning and readiness activities of MSD activities IAW approved schedules and timelines
