National Rural Health Resource Center Remote

The National Rural Health Resource Center (The Center) seeks a Multimedia Specialist working remotely with a preference for the Delta Region states of Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee. The Center hours of operation are 8:00 am to 4:30 p.m. central time, Monday through Friday; however, personal work hours may vary. This is a salaried, exempt position with a comprehensive benefits package.

The Multimedia Specialist is a creative force, using their digital media skills to tell a compelling story about The Center’s work. They develop video, audio, images, and other digital media to share the impact and outcomes of The Center’s work and enhance educational resources produced by program teams. Functions include conceptualizing, developing, designing, producing, editing, directing, and distributing media projects. The Multimedia Specialist should have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications/media or related area or at least four years of experience as a multimedia specialist or similar role. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered.

In addition, the Multimedia Specialist should have experience working in a team environment and be capable of independent decision-making. Effective written and oral communication skills are required including presentation and facilitation. Excellent relationship-building skills are necessary. Experience preferred with working remotely and with Microsoft Office Teams, Zoom Meetings, or similar platforms.

The Multimedia Specialist should also have:

· Strong creative and critical thinking skills.Ability to act independently and develop a path forward without having the total picture.

· Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects of varying complexity and timelines.

· Skilled in use of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe Media Encoder.

· High comfort level using web-based interfaces to edit website, marketing emails, and event portals. Experience with Salesforce Pardot and Cvent platforms preferred.

· Experience managing YouTube channels and developing content on common social media platforms.

· Knowledge of accessibility standards, especially captioning requirements for video and audio.

· Knowledge of rural health, hospitals, health systems, or quality improvement.

· Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of employees, business partners and clients.

The Multimedia Specialist will work primarily in an office setting remotely in a home office environment preferably in one of the Delta Region States (Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri or Tennessee). Additionally, some overnight travel will be expected to various locations throughout the United States.
