Music Production Assistant Job at Bert's Beats
Hi All,
This summer I'm hiring a part-time assistant (2-4 hrs on the weekends) to help me in two tasks:
1. To select and prepare the demos for my upcoming album (this will build critical listening, engineering, and production skills)
2. To help me flesh out the curriculum for my fall-semester course in recording arts at Manhattan College (this will involve me teaching you everything I know about recording, producing, and mixing music)
A wide musical vocabulary (including at least some knowledge of rock as a genre) as well as familiarity with the basics of music production software is required. We will be using Ableton Live and Pro Tools, so fluency in those programs is an added advantage. Above all, you must possess a sunny attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to defend your opinions.
Assistants will be paid $25/hr + a travel stipend + food and beverage. I will also provide you with a professional reference and networking opportunities. Finally, you will receive an engineering credit on my next album.
Interviews will be conducted over Zoom.
