Patrick Industries Corporate IT Department is seeking an experienced, full time, Network Engineer to join our team. The Network Engineer at Patrick Industries will hold a key position within the Organization by helping keep the network up-to-date and operating as intended.
Patrick Industries is a leading manufacturer and distributor of components products and building materials serving different industries throughout the United States including RV, Manufactured Housing, Industrial and Marine segments. Responsibilities and Duties:
The Network Engineer holds a critical position that requires the ability to effectively multitask and handle multiple projects at the same time. In this role, you will employ a Customer First Focus while working to maintain and improve the company’s hardware, network, and other computing equipment with an emphasis on ensuring the reliability and security of the system at all times. Strong analytical skills are required as well as the ability to think creatively to find solutions for issues that arise.
Other responsibilities will include:
· Maintains and creates technical documents and knowledge base information; documenting actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records
· Perform onsite visits to perform deployments, enhancements, and maintenance
· Research, plan, install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade network hardware and wiring
· Upgrades information systems by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new hardware/software
· Monitoring the systems performance and undertake maintenance and upgrades as required.
· Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations
· Provide staff and users with assistance solving computer related problems, such as malfunctions and program problems
· Assist in establishing standards for information systems procedures
· Secures information systems by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation as well as completing back-ups
· Works with business units to select, implement, and maintain systems relevant to the operations of the company
· Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
· Work effectively and independently on multiple complex activities and projects
Qualifications and Skills:
· The candidate must have at least 10 years of experience with supporting networks, industry certifications are a plus
· Palo Alto PCNSE certification
· Experience with multi-site networks
· HP/Aruba switch experience (certification preferred)
· Experience managing a large/enterprise network (1000+ AP’s, 500 Switches, 200 Routers)
· TCP/IP Network Design
· Wireless Network Design
· Experience with Network security, 802x, NAC, ACL Building highly desired
· Candidates must have the ability to work in a different environments including office and manufacturing facilities that may be hot and dust filled
· Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
· Self-starter
