Network Engineer
Location: Oklahoma City, OK (Onsite) LOCALS ONLY
Contract to Hire
US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain Government clearance.
Responsibilities:
· Perform infrastructure upgrades and improve the wired and wireless networks.
· Configure switches prior to shipment to sites; travel to sites and perform switch upgrades.
· Provide reporting details on project status to project coordinators and managers.
Skills Required:
· Minimum of 5 years in both wired and wireless Cisco network experience in large Enterprise campus environment with multi-layer routing protocols.
· Knowledge and experience configuring and troubleshooting current CISCO switches, including those with Catalyst and Nexus IOS.
· Layer 3 Experience
o Routing protocols including, OSPF, BGP (Multi-homing, Load balancing traffic and engineering for automatic failover, Load balancing), EIGRP, RIP, HSRP,WCCP
o Layer 1 (copper cabling troubles / fiber signal strength)
o Layer 2 (spanning tree, VLAN tagging, mac address tracing)
o Layer 3 (routing troubles, EGP versus IGP redistribution, BGP attribute studying,
prefix length issues)
Education:
· High school diploma/GED and 11 years IT experience OR
· Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field and 5 years IT experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Oklahoma City, OK 73012: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
