VIRTUAL employment opportunity for NGA JANUS Geospatial Analysts (GA). Work must be performed in the United States.

The hourly rate for this work is $18-22/hour depending on experience and qualifications.

The GA is responsible for acquiring, analyzing, compiling, evaluating, and reviewing geospatial data for use in standard products, non‐standard products, and/or data holdings in support of project requirements. The GA will attribute, exploit, extract, format, manipulate, position, and symbolize geospatial information, as well as ensure the quality, accuracy, and currency of geospatial information produced in‐house or in cooperation with contractors and/or suppliers for national, military, and civil partners and/or clients.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Geographic Information Science (GIS), Remote Sensing (RS), or related field preferred or the equivalent combination education and experience
- Experience using Erdas Imagine, ArcGIS 10 and extensions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous Land and Ground Cover (VISNAV), Intermittent Water/Saturated Soils (IW/SS), and/or Land Subject to Inundation (LSI) experience is a plus
- 2-5 years NGA Geospatial production experience on the JANUS contract.
- Extensive experience with ESRI GIS software including extensions
- Experience with Aeronautical Feature Data concepts and practices (AFD, SAC, DVOF, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Working knowledge and experience using QGIS is a plus
- Certified GEOINT Professional ‐ GIS & Analysis Tools (CGP‐GTM)
- Certified GEOINT Professional ‐ Remote Sensing & Imagery Analysis (CGP‐RTM)
- Certified GEOINT Professional ‐ Geospatial Data Management (CGP‐DTM)
- US Citizenship is a requirement
