THE POSITION:
Nurse Practitioner - Brighton – Full-time: No weekends
We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner that also has a mindset and belief in holistic/natural medicine who understands the relationship between diet/nutrition and healing. As a Nurse Practitioner at Oxford Recovery Center, you will work with a team of providers to best serve our patients and their families. We focus on a holistic approach to healthcare, taking the time to help the patient find the treatment options that will work best for them. You will build relationships with the patients and their families as you monitor the patient's care throughout their recovery journey.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Providing primary care to patients
- Performing initial examinations, including physical exams and patient observations
- Setting up and monitoring medical equipment
- Ordering and administering diagnostic tests
- Communicating test results to patients and their families
- Recording patient medical histories
- Operating and maintaining medical equipment
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Superior organizational and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and kind demeanor
- Able to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Able to act decisively and maintain discretion
- Excellent computer skills required.
- Familiarity with electronic health record programs a plus.
Education and Experience:
- Master of Science in Nursing degree
- Valid RN Licensure in the State of Michigan
- Experience working with children with autism preferred
- Minimum of 3+ years of family practice experience
- Required - Interest in Holistic or Functional Medicine
- Infusion experience preferred
