We currently have an opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner for our Hialeah location.
Primary Responsibilities:
- The APRN is an expert in patient care who provides quality care, performs patient assessments, and takes a thorough medical history.
- Works closely with Primary Care Physician in managing the care of patients via face-to-face.
- Sees walk in patients and educates patients and their family regarding diagnosis and plan of care.
- Assists Primary Care Physicians with patient case load.
- Perform medication inventory as needed.
- Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.).
- Diagnose health conditions and illnesses.
- Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications.
- In charge of diagnosing the cause of pain.
- Evaluation and coordination of pain treatments.
- Complementary therapies.
- Ongoing care dedicated to relieving symptoms.
- Performs evaluation to offer a mix of medication-based treatments and procedures.
- Discuss with patients potential therapies and treatments that can help.
- Coordinates care.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Experience working in a Medical Center setting with geriatric patient population.
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Patience and pleasant demeanor.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Spanish preferred.
Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8-hour shift; flexible schedule
Work Location: Viva Mas Hialeah
