Ebenezer is offering a unique opportunity for you to earn a CNA certificate and a placement into a Nursing Assistant Job. We will pay for the cost of CNA course, state NA exam, and provide you with wages $15.19 hour while taking the CNA course.

Certified Nursing Assistants are an integral part of our Ebenezer Skilled Nursing Communities, as they provide seniors with personal cares and support with their daily living activities.
The curriculum portion is completed with Ebenezer’s NA educator instructor who will support your learning by requiring you to come in person for five days in Edina. The course finishes with CNA skills training in Edina and the required 32 hours of CNA clinical hours at one of our Skilled Nursing Facility locations in either Bloomington or Edina. Those hired into this CNA class and CNA job are expected to stay on pace with course and must pass Ebenezer’s nursing assistant course by the end of the two weeks course.
Upon passing our CNA course you will start immediately in a Nursing Assistant job at our Skilled Nursing (Transitional Care Units/Long term care) location in Bloomington and receive a wage increase to $22.19 hour! Determination of shift and number of hours between 16-80 over two weeks, will be discussed during initial interview and final job offer! Ebenezer typically has a variety of Straight Days, Evenings, or Nights shifts for CNA’s. Each CNA position has a weekend and holiday rotation. Full Benefits at 48 + hours in two weeks and partial benefits at part-time hours.
* Passing the State Nursing Assistant exam and getting to get on the MN Nursing Assistant registry is required within 4 months of hire date. We will help get you registered and pay for this exam. * With acceptance into the NA course/Job; it is expected that employment with Ebenezer will be at a min for at least one (1) year.

Monday, June 12th - 13th Zoom New Employee Orientation
Wednesday, June 14th - 23rd 8:30AM-3:30PM in person orientation session, classroom education, skills lab in Edina; 7505 Metro Blvd Suite 100, Edina, MN 55439
Monday, June 26th - 27th CNA clinical hours at Skilled Nursing Care Center in either Burnsville, Bloomington, or Edina MN. Clinicals will start at 5:45AM.

- Assists resident based on individual care plan with personal cares such as; bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, showers and responds to call lights
- Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner
- Chart or document in electronic medical record system
- See to order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas, reports malfunctioning equipment to maintenance department, and answers phones in a timely manner
- Must accept a scheduled hours (16-80 hours/two weeks) nursing assistant position at Martin Luther Care Center
- Completion and passing of Ebenezer’s Nursing Assistant Course by May 31st
- Passing of MN State CNA exams to be placed on MN Nursing Assistant registry needs to be completed within 4 months (or sooner) of hire date
- Must be willing to commit to employment with Ebenezer for at least 1 year after start date.
If current Ebenezer or Fairview employee must have satisfactory performance record and have been in current position at least 6 months.
Preferred:
- Ability to work with a diverse and geriatric population
- Ability to communicate effectively with empathy and compassion for others
- Experience working in a patient support role (HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, Resident Assistant) or a healthcare setting or healthcare education
- Work experience in a customer service setting
