Office Assistant / Receptionist Job at Taylor Metal Products
Our organization is looking for an organized, outgoing Office Assistant Receptionist. If you are looking for a great place to work, please read the list of qualifications below.
In this position, you will assist with a variety of clerical and administrative duties. These tasks include greeting clients, answering phones, taking messages, managing email and mail correspondence, and calendaring. You may also assist with invoicing, updating client files, and ordering office supplies. Since you will be the first person clients see as they walk through our door, we are looking for an individual who can maintain professionalism at all times.
Essential Functions:
- Answering a multi-line telephone system, routing calls and taking messages (primary focus)
- Respond to emails (suppliers only)
- Manage mail correspondence
- Greet clients and visitors
- Call customers when order is ready
- Help maintain office calendar
- Assist with invoicing
- Perform filing tasks, cataloging items, etc….
- Manage inventory of office supplies
- Perform other clerical tasks as needed

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred
- Administrative or clerical experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite software preferred (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
- Computer proficiency
- Organizational and time management skills
- Basic math skills
- Experience working in a professional environment
