Great American Risk Solutions provides industry leading non-admitted property and casualty products to the wholesale brokerage market. Our staff brings decades of experience in product development, claims handling, underwriting and service. Our Risk Solutions team is in search of a Office Support Analyst to join our team.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Builds working knowledge of the organization, business/industry, and customers.
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of department policies and procedures and utilizes broad understanding of the business and organization. Complies with company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Provides/facilitates basic computer, systems, or software training throughout the division, based on business need or as requested by leadership team.
    • Supporting/training new hires to establish base knowledge and skills.
    • Present multiple Q&A sessions on basic systems – best practices, enhancements, and tech help reminders
  • Maintains current knowledge of IT system modifications, development of new software programs or services, and other pertinent changes that may drive training needs.
  • May provide employee assessments on basic systems knowledge.
  • Will potentially plan, organize, and create technology training curriculum, material, and programs by:
    • Analyzing learning needs and partners with Subject Matter Experts to develop training approach and course content.
    • Plans, writes, and maintains systems and user support documentation efforts as requested.
      • Translates business specifications into user documentation.
      • Sources and coordinates computer-based training resources.
  • Coordination of various initiatives, projects, and/or processes; including preparing, maintaining, and attending meetings and formatting of minutes as requested.
  • Maintains learning systems, including online learning tools (Viva Learning, LinkedIn Learning, etc.), and GAI learning management systems (LMS).
  • May participate in the development of in-house programs as requested.
  • Provides meeting support relating to: Trainings, Networking Events or Recruitment Events. May collaborate with management and other functional areas to understand desired outcomes of these events and to participate in recommending creative approaches to ensure objectives are met.
  • Must be willing to cross train within the Office Support team with various office tasks, such as New Hire Onboarding and/or New Hire Orientations and various Employee engagement activities.
  • In office presence is required weekly, with some work from home flexibility.
  • Some local travel may be required.
  • Other duties/Projects as assigned. Performs a wide variety of support for the department, functional group, or team.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience with Window 10 and applications.
  • Ability to learn current office software and equipment and any future updates to software or hardware quickly and effectively.
  • Familiar with Camtasia or creating training modules/videos with similar software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite– Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote, OneDrive, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extremely organized with attention to detail.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training materials.

Job Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Associate’s Degree preferred.

Field of Study: Business, Accounting or related discipline.

Experience: 6 or more years of related experience. Experience in the insurance industry preferred. Certification in area of expertise may be required.
