About the Practice and their Mission
Pennsylvania Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our extensive, well-established physician group practice in Gettysburg, PA.
Pennsylvania Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, previously known as Gettysburg Cancer Center, is a community-based Hematology/Oncology practice with over 30 years of patient care in Gettysburg. Pennsylvania Cancer Specialists & Research Institute strives to provide individualized treatment, utilizing the best technical approach and recognizing each patient's psychological, emotional, and spiritual needs during their illness and journey towards healing. We house Hematology/Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Clinical Trail & Research Programs, and an Infusion Clinic all in one location. These unparalleled resources are rare in community-based oncology practices and provide our physicians with the critical resources necessary for optimal value-based patient care.
Details and Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
- Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure/Physician's Assistant License.
- One Year of Experience in Oncology/Hematology is Preferred.
- Strong Computer Skills and Experience in EMR are Preferred.
- Outpatient Opportunity.
- 1 week a month hospital call rounding on Consult Service.
- Responsible for any patient phone calls that come through after hours. Usually, triaging symptoms, etc.
- 1 weekend a month hospital call rounding with the physician.
