Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

The primary purpose of the Operations Support Specialist is to maintain software systems(s) that enable critical workflows for business units across Operations, which drive performance of wind and solar power plants. Specifically, Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems among others, that are responsible for management asset schedules, maintenances, and work orders, while assisting a large customer base and leading the effort for improved platform functionality over time. This role requires and understanding of how new and existing processes and procedures will impact data quality, user experience, and the overall EAM workflow. This role will develop an understanding software development, sprint planning, data systems, and engineering.

Key Accountabilities

The key responsibilities will include the following:
  • Become an Enterprise Asset Management subject matter expert and the conduit between developers and the field users. Work cross functionally to identify opportunities for improvement and drive to completion.
  • Lead and manage the implementation of systems for new power plants from full warranty to self-perform that require varying degrees of system complexity and oversight.
  • Evaluate, refine, and maintain existing training documentation as well as develop new training and process management documents where applicable.
  • Work with Field Operations to ensure installed assets and maintenance dates are appropriately reflected in the work management software(s).
  • Participate in software development sprints that require testing, troubleshooting and validation of new system functionality pertaining to work management software that impacts Operations.
  • Oversee data quality metrics and KPI’s that ensure job tasks recorded within the work management software align with required steps to maintain compliance with the governing maintenance procedure.
  • Support and collaborate with Operations business units to analyse work management data and identify cost savings opportunities.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Qualifications Required

Educational Experience
  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Accounting, Science, or Supply Chain OR demonstration of equivalent work experience is required as a minimum.

Work Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience with demonstrated analytical skills and cross-functional management experience of remote teams/resources.
  • Wind or Solar industry experience is preferred by not required.

Additional Qualifications
  • Strong technical capabilities and a creative, curious, self-driven work ethic.
  • Basic engineering knowledge and analytical thought processes.
  • Ability to travel (Up to 10% travel)

Technical Skills
  • Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, drawings, and documents related to engineering and construction.
  • Ability to work in complex ERP systems, such as Dynamics 365 and Dynaway Enterprise Asset Management
  • Microsoft suite skills: Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio.
  • Ability to manage and analyse large amounts of master data.
The expected starting pay range for this role is $71,000 - $97,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
