Schedule: This is a 3rd shift position; (11pm-7am) regular weekend work will be required.
ADM is a leader in global nutrition, unlocking the power of nature to envision, create and combine ingredients and flavors for food, beverages, supplements, and more. The Bushnell facility manufactures plant-based protein products.
Job Summary
This position is responsible for operating and maintaining a machine that utilizes soy flour and extrudes or draws out different varieties of textured protein in a variety of different shapes and colors.
· Selects proper machine dies and Comitrol heads, follows setup procedures, and follows all machine parameters for extruding process to run and produce a quality protein product.
· Makes adjustments to extruding process to keep product within specification.
· Sets controls to regulate steam, water and speed of knife for the proper size of protein product.
· Cleans extruder area, under and around oven, dies, Comitrol parts, extruder bench and other areas.
· Dumps rework carts.
· Dumps extruder buggy and sweeps drive.
· Ensures that tarps are on dumpsters.
· Collects flour and magnet samples and delivers to lab.
· Washes black mats, buckets, UHMW boards, extruder shovels and extruder brooms after each use.
· Labels bags
· Follows all safety, GMP, Plant Rules and Policies
