Schedule
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. 7:45am-4:45pm
Requirements
- Performs testing to include Pentacam, Visual Field, OCT, Clarus, & Auto Refractor.
- Performs various specialty testing ordered by the physician, such as pachymetry, Brightness Acuity Test (BAT), color vision testing, dominant eye tests, and other tests as directed.
- Perfroms IOP checks as well as Dry Eye Tests.
- Read glasses prescriptions.
- Educate patients regarding administering medications and pre and post-operative instructions, as directed by physicians.
- Administer topical ophthalmic and oral medications at the direction of a physician.
- We are looking for a diagnostic technician who enjoys working with people in a fast-paced environment.
- We are looking for a mature individual with excellent multi-tasking and communication skills.
- We are looking for an individual who has experience in Refractive Surgery who has strong critical thinking skills.
Current JCAHPO certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant or Certified Ophthalmic Technician required and at least two years of experience in a supervised setting.
Minimum education: HS diploma or equivalent; prefer Associates degree or some college education in a science-related or medical-related field
Strong interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, management, and co-workers. Demonstrates attention to detail and flexibility
