We are looking for a talented Machinist to join our team specializing in Machining for our Shop Segment in Rocky Mount, North Carolina

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Will be required to complete certification program offered by Cummins at a nearby Community College
• Engage in HSE Training.
• May be required to work different shifts according to need based on company requirements.
• May be required to act as backfill or hold a CLT position.
• Main responsibility at the start of position is to learn the new machines, the line, and other aspects of the position.
• Performs skilled activities which support manufacturing business needs.
• Selects and uses appropriate tools, machinery, and specialty equipment.
• May be required to act as backfill or hold a CLT position.
• Performs quality inspections.
• Support equipment uptime and downtime failure analysis.
• Performs quality inspections.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

• 2-Year Technical Degree (or Complete Career Certification Process if hired)
• hoist/crane.
• Reading for comprehension
• Machinist (CNC Machinist experience)
• Start/Stop
• Tool changes
• Fault Reset
• Gage Training
• Blue-print reading
• CMM report reading
• Capability calculation
• Calculate moves and make machine programming adjustments
• Computer skills are required for this position
• Responsible for learning all product features for assistance
• PIV (forklift) experience requested but not required

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
