About Rainbow Optics
Rainbow Optics is a multi-location practice and has served the Eugene community for over 40 years. Combining personalized eye care and an exceptional optical experience, patients can expect world-class service no matter which location they visit. Well-known for its creative and unique optical and high quality of optometric care, the practice specializes in full-scope primary eye care, ocular disease treatment and management, advanced contact lens services, and surgical co-management.
With an emphasis on patient-centric care and ensuring optimal eye health and innovative vision solutions, the practice uses state-of-the-art vision care technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases. The doctors leverage Zeiss OCT 5000, Cirrus 500 retinal imaging, HFA3 visual field analyzer, and a Medmont topographer. A fully customized electronic medical records system is also utilized and provides for efficiency of care and charting. Additionally, skilled optometric technicians perform pretesting and support during exams, enabling the doctor to focus on each patient. Customers will enjoy a unique experience as they browse a wide selection of fashion-forward frames and sunglasses for all budgets—plus, an on-site lab is available to serve patients conveniently.
About the Full-Time Optometrist Opening
Rainbow Optics is seeking an energetic, skilled, and dedicated Optometrist passionate about providing the highest level of patient care while building lasting professional relationships with patients. You’ll perform thorough examinations, determine accurate diagnoses and individualized treatments, maintain detailed charting of patient encounters via electronic health records system, appropriately post fees and codes for provided services, and communicate effectively and respectfully with patients and team members. You will also have the opportunity to participate in special company projects and potentially support the development of a specialty clinic. Approximately 18 to 20 patients are cared for daily, which includes a mix of routine exams, contact lens fittings, medical and post-operative care visits.
The position is full-time, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and approximately 1-2 Saturdays per month from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The practice is looking for a detailed-oriented team player with excellent clinical and time management skills while following current treatment protocols. To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, excellent patient communication skills, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. In addition, the ideal candidate will want to develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors and be willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.
Minimum qualifications include:
  • Valid optometry license in the state of Oregon
