Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
· Responsible for managing positive relationships with community members, businesses, other nonprofit organizations, and fellow employees within the Fuller Center.
· Must be able to plan, organize and manage activities to help Fuller Center achieve its public outreach, communications, and community engagement goals.
· Develops strategies and programs designed to favorably represent the Fuller Center and nurture relationships between the Fuller Center and external organizations, the media, and our local and virtual communities.
· Develops, plans, schedules, implements, and organizes speaking engagement for organizational leadership and the other appropriate team members to advance the mission and goals of the Fuller Center.
· Organizes community outreach programs and coordinates special events that will influence public opinion and promote partnership programs, services, and the values of the Fuller Center.
· Develop strategies designed to make positive contributions to the local community while simultaneously raising awareness of the programs and services offered by the Fuller Center and how to access them.
· Acts as point of contact for local community partners, businesses, civic organizations, and the general public.
· Develop strong relationships with communication outlets, all forms of media and electronic communication platforms to maintain a positive image and increase public exposure of the Fuller Center.
· Design and implement Fuller Center’s outreach and community engagement activities.
· Identifies appropriate community events, breakfasts, luncheons, galas, workshops, social gatherings, etc.
· Assist in preparing a variety of publicity materials such as external and internal presentations, speeches, press releases, and other media content.
· Draft and distribute communications that promote the Fuller Center as well as individuals and groups within the Center.
· Coordinate the development of promotional materials such as brochures, planned giving documents, and video productions.
· Coordinate and manage community outreach strategies, events, and activities to promote the Fuller Center programs and services.
· Manage the relationship with the communication and social medial agency (plus 305) to ensure the timely delivery of requested materials.
· Coordinate outreach and community engagement communications through social media
· Manage the relationship with the public relations agency (The Buzz Agency) to ensure the timely delivery of requested materials.
· Assist with all aspects of the Corporate Ambassador Group.
· Manages and coordinates the updating of the Fuller Center website in partnership with third-party professionals.
· Collaborate with leadership and other important parties to maintain partnerships.
· Provide public relations support at community events and establish positive relationships with other organizations.
· Responsible for the coordination of the Auxiliary Committee including general communications, planning meetings, follow-up on assigned tasks for committee members, facilitate members’ involvement, and assisting the engagement of committee members within the community.
· Responsible for capturing images (photography. Video) of internal and external Fuller Center activities, events, donor and prospect visits, and other required documentation for publications, social media, etc.
· Handle sensitive data and ensure confidentiality of material, correspondence, and data.
· Other duties as assigned.
Daily Functions:
· Create, present, and execute weekly outreach and community engagement meetings.
· Communicate daily with the Philanthropy team to ensure the most urgent outreach needs/priorities are being met.
· Compile and manage daily outreach and community event tracking, next steps, appointments, and follow-up.
· Establish agenda and handle follow-up of all outreach and community engagement weekly meetings.
· Attend and report relevant information weekly from community events and meetings.
· Connect appropriate Philanthropy team members with potential donor/sponsor opportunities.
· Design and implement donor surveys quarterly.
· Participate in weekly Buzz Agency conference calls.
· Participate in weekly plus305 communication and social media Zoom & phone call.
· Monthly - Ensure sponsors, corporate partners, and donors are featured in the monthly newsletter, social posts, and on the Fuller website.
· Compile monthly outreach and community engagement reports.
· Connect the Philanthropy team with potential sponsorship and donor opportunities weekly.
· Be an active member of the community through participating weekly with an approved list of organizations assigned by Sr. Director of Philanthropy.
· Assist with all daily corporate, sponsor, and donor communications.
· Input and maintain outreach and community engagement data daily in the Fuller CRM database.
· Assist with all outreach, community engagement, and public relations activities daily for the Fuller Center
· Plans and manages identified aspects of Fuller events of various sizes and purpose to ensure event is being carried out smoothly, there is appropriate press and other forms of recognition, and acknowledgment implemented.
· Act as public relations representative daily for media engagement such as interviews and press conferences.
· Compose outreach and community engagement and follow-up communications daily.
· Update or create designated department outreach and communicate engagement materials.
· Monitor and coordinate daily Fuller Center social platforms, website updates, and social calendars and listings.
· Actively participate and take photos at on and off-campus events as needed.
· Ensure outreach and community engagement calendar is up to date and regularly communicated.
· Alert Philanthropy team daily on relevant events and details being published on social platforms.
· Ensure all departments are keeping with brand standards on a continual basis.
Job Qualifications:
Minimum Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, public relations, community engagement, philanthropy, journalism, or related field, and a minimum of 3 years experience.
Proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Constant Contact, Salsa CRM, Adobe, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Loomly, and Canva.
Skills:
Must have excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills, and enjoy working with people in a fast-paced environment. Requires careful attention to detail. Strong time management, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Written communication must be accurate, precise, and quickly completed. Professional attire is required at all times. Must have the ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive or controversial subjects with tact, kindness, and professionalism.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this position. This position requires a moderate amount of sitting, walking and the frequent use of hands and arms. Talking and listening will be a major component. Occasionally, light lifting will be required. The ability to focus with the eyes for close range and be able to distinguish colors is required. Additionally, the work environment is a typical climate-controlled office environment, and the noise is usually moderate, but in occasional situation, louder noise will be prevalent.
Must be available to work onsite 8:30am – 5 pm, and weekends, offsite and after hours as needed.
