We have an opening for a Paralegal to join our law firm in Athens, Georgia. Our attorneys work primarily in the areas of civil defense and criminal defense. We are a busy litigation practice and seek an organized professional who can assist with all areas of our practice.
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:
· Client communication;
· Drafting answers and pleadings;
· Responding to discovery;
· Medical record review;
· Medical record requests;
· Open record requests;
· Maintaining calendars and deadlines; and
· General case management.
Education: High school diploma. College and/or paralegal certification preferred. Relevant legal experience considered in lieu of degree.
Qualifications and skills: Self-directed individual who is able to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to prioritize assignments while multi-tasking. Strong grammar and proofreading skills. Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel and legal procedures/rules preferred.
Salary commensurate with experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
