Job Summary:

Jet Access and our family of companies is seeking a Parts Sourcing Specialist. This individual will work closely with our maintenance teams ensuring that all supplies and parts are located, ordered, appropriately billed and available for on-demand aircraft repair and maintenance operations. Successful candidates will be highly detail oriented, have prior aviation maintenance/parts experience, and enjoy a fast paced quickly moving environment.
Core Schedule:
  • Core schedule will be Monday – Friday – Day and/or Evening Shifts may be available
  • Hours: Varies, depending on location and position
  • On call, overtime, and flexible schedule may be required as needed
Day in the Life:
  • Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to departments originating requests.
  • Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials when necessary.
  • Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
  • Perform buying and purchasing duties when necessary.
  • Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.
  • Review requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications.
  • Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports, and price lists.
  • Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
  • Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders.
  • Calculate costs of orders, and charge or forward invoices to appropriate accounts.
  • Check shipments when they arrive to ensure that orders have been filled correctly and that goods meet specifications.
  • Compare suppliers' bills with bids and purchase orders to verify accuracy.
  • Locate suppliers, using sources such as catalogs and the internet, and interview them to gather information about products to be ordered.
  • Build relationships with various parts supply sources and key contacts
  • Maintain knowledge of all organizational and governmental rules affecting purchases and provide information about these rules to organization staff members and to vendors.
What will make you successful:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preference given to candidates with prior experience with aviation parts purchasing.
  • Preference given to candidates with experience in aviation maintenance and/or manufacturing.
  • Able to maintain and keep secure confidential, protected information.
  • Effective at organizing, planning, and prioritizing work with multiple and changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Tenacious self-starter, driven to see tasks completed on time.
  • Proven ability to operate independently and achieve results
  • Enthusiastic, committed, and conscientious.
  • Able to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced and quickly changing environment.
  • Professional, well spoken, and comfortable speaking to Team Members, clients, owners, vendors, and guests from all demographics.
  • Effective decision maker and problem solver. Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose a solution that benefits both the supplier and the customer.
