Paddle Pub Long Island is a fun and eco-friendly party boat that hosts two-hour pleasure cruises and are seeking energetic, friendly, and outgoing party hosts to join our team! If you enjoy being on the water and the outdoors, like to dance, laugh, and thrive on meeting new people, then this is the place for you to spend your summer days!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Paddle Pub host, you will be responsible for providing an energetic, friendly, and safe environment for up to 26 passengers during the two-hour trips. You will also assist with prepping the boat, checking in guests, communicating with the Captain and management about any issues, and cleaning the boat after each trip.

You must be able to take charge and cheer on groups of 26 in party games, safety instructions, dance-offs, and encountering difficult situations. You will be constantly interacting with the guests, not just as a host of their experience, but being a part of their group and celebrations!

No previous boating experience is required, as the necessary boat knowledge will be incorporated into our training process. You must be able to lift/carry 40lbs (ex: coolers). You need high energy and must be comfortable being in close proximity to people, as you will be constantly moving around a moving vessel and find yourself in close quarters. You must be comfortable working in an outdoor setting exposed to the elements, as we sail rain or shine.

EARNINGS & HOURS:

Hosts will be paid a set amount per hour plus large tips (averaging $30-$50 per hour including gratuity). This is primarily a part-time position. There are unique circumstances for the highest caliber performers to earn full-time work, given their availability and consistency. However, part-time hours should be expected when applying.

AVAILABILITY:

***Please note before applying, our season runs from Memorial Day through October. Please do not apply if you are not going to be able to work for the full months of June, July, August and September. We need you to have open availability Friday evening through Sunday. We are also open every day of the season, including holidays(Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4th of July).
