Robert Half is looking to fill a position on a team at one of our clients for a skilled Payroll Specialist. In this position, you will be expected to support the Payroll department through a number of duties including data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. In order to succeed in this position the candidate will need to communicate effectively with both internal team members and outside customers. This Payroll Specialist opportunity is based in the Saint Paul, Minnesota area and is a long-term contract / temporary employment role.

Your responsibilities

• Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
• Construct and run custom reports
• Administer instruction/training to employees regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
• Correspond with employees via email and phone to garner approvals on timesheets
• Devise a system of administering and distributing reports
• File, scan, fax, and perform other clerical duties as required
• Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
