The Motorcycle Company (TMC) operates fifteen Harley-Davidson dealerships located in Detroit, Boston, Baltimore, Kansas City, Denver, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Manchester, New York City, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Seattle, Huntington Beach, and Riverside, CA. Our Michigan office, located in Grand Rapids on the Beltline, is a shared services center that provides accounting, payroll, and other business support to the dealership group. Summary of Position:

This position requires processing and maintaining payroll records for dealerships held under common ownership in a multiple entity environment. The position will assist with processing payroll for multiple employee groups as well as calculating and/or verifying commissions and bonuses using complex Excel workbooks.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with local dealership employees the compilation of payroll information (hours, commissions, bonuses, rate changes, garnishments, etc.) needed to process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls.
  • Summarize payroll data to assist with the processing of bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for each dealership using external payroll service software.
  • Maintain employee payroll files and keep pay plan documentation up to date.
  • Assist with the calculation and/or verify monthly bonus calculations and prepare bonus payrolls.
  • Review, analyze and verify payroll reports for accuracy.
  • Prepare head count analysis as needed by management and owners.
  • Maintain monthly and year to date payroll reports.
  • Special projects as needed by management and owners.

Qualifications:

  • Two plus years of experience in payroll administration.
  • Minimum Associates Degree with an accounting or business emphasis.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Strong Word and Outlook experience.
  • Proficient using payroll and accounting software programs. HR Pyramid experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
