Position: Payroll Specialist II

Location: Denver: near I-70/I-225

Expected Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000/annually

Job Duties:

• Process all aspects of prevailing wages. Ensure compliance with weekly certified payroll reporting on contracts subject to the DavisBacon Act
• Work directly with Operations and General Contractors regarding Prevailing Wage projects, wage determinations and maintain accuracy on certified reporting
• Create and update craft/class templates and weekly payroll submissions
• Upload certified payroll weekly transcripts into LCPTracker, eMars and Ecomply systems for 70 + weekly Prevailing Wage projects
• Review, correct and resubmit all Prevailing Wage rejections and process restitution when necessary
• Assist in processing multistate, weekly, in-house payroll for 1,500+ employees using Viewpoint
• Help with quarterly/annual tax deposits, tax and wage reports and file with Federal/State agencies, and various audits
• Assist in reconciling annual reporting of forms W2, W2C and W3
• Enter apprentices in Rapids DOL program, upload all OA Certificates on apprentices for new enrollments, renewals and changes
• Reconcile payroll-related general ledger and prepare reports or statements summarizing payroll-related accounts
• Assist with year-end and tax reconciliation, auditing and reporting
• Effectively tie out year-end taxable and gross wages for year-end reconciliation

Requirements :

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in prevailing wage/Davis Bacon payroll
• Understand and comply with DOL requirements on Federal Prevailing Wage projects
• 3 years minimum experience in processing full cycle payroll
• Ability to navigate in Excel. No complex formulas required
• In depth understanding of U.S. payroll and tax processes required
• Team player, good work ethic, and maintains a self-initiative personality
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality

• In house payroll processing: 3 years (Preferred)
