Position Overview

Particle is looking for a motivated and driven People Operations Coordinator to support various people operations programs where you'll help foster a productive and inclusive working environment and ensure the needs of the employees are met. Ideally you are someone who takes pride in the quality of their work while consistently working with exceptional accuracy, confidentiality and keeping in mind the experience and expectations of our employees.

Must be willing to commute to the San Francisco office 2-3 times per week.

You will:

  • Collaborate with the rest of the People Operations team to create meaningful employees experiences and act as the first point of contact for all people operations and office inquiries
  • Create a productive and welcoming virtual and in-person work environment by greeting guests at the office, receiving and distributing mail, replenishing office and food supplies, planning and coordinating onsite events, and maintaining office upkeep
  • Update and maintain our HRIS system to ensure data integrity and appropriate systems access
  • Partner with various departments to coordinate internal company-wide and departmental events such as team offsites, leadership events, DEI events, escape rooms, and more
  • Coordinate the onboarding/offboarding process and partner with the IT team to make sure every employee is taken care of
  • Provide general administrative support through a wide range of areas such as sending and uploading employment documents, coordinating trainings, completing employment verifications, completing purchase order requests, tracking departmental expenses, and coordinating leave of absence paperwork
  • Maintain knowledge of company guidelines and systems while developing process improvements where possible

You have:

  • 6+ months of prior work experience in a similar administrative or people operations position
  • Exhibit strong and professional communication skills - written, verbal, and presentation
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, an ability to build a sense of trust by following through
  • The aptitude to manage numerous time-sensitive requests and can identify points of escalation when necessary
  • A proactive, resourceful, and self-driven work ethic with an ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a high sense of urgency
  • Proven experience operating with a high level of transparency, providing progress updates and sharing information with stakeholders when relevant
  • Value having a high level of integrity and a strong moral compass - you believe in doing what's right and understand the importance of confidentiality
  • Thrive in a team environment - you find meaning and purpose in helping others

The salary range for this role for candidates located in the SF bay area is between $68,000 - $70,000. Final compensation will be determined by job-related experience, skills, and location.
