The agency is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of PH Registered Nurse 3 within the Fulton County Board of Health in Medical and Preventive Services .

Identifies high-risk populations and tailor interventions based on the needs of the population and the resources available.- Provides treatments, administers medications/vaccines, and provides preventive and maintenance care to patients/families consistent with the care plan and/or physician treatment plan.
- Screens and refers clients to other community service providers.
- Participates in drills and exercises on pandemic influenza, mass sheltering, and mass dispensing.
- Participates in the planning, organizing, and evaluation of program areas to ensure the goals and objectives(s) of the program are met.
- Provides clinical services to the target population.
- Applies principles of population health to practice
- Provides health care, first aid, immunizations, and assistance in convalescence and rehabilitation.
- Conducts comprehensive assessments of client health care needs.
- Conducts community needs assessment.
- Develops comprehensive plans of care for individuals, families, and populations.
- Modifies client treatment plans as indicated by clients' responses and conditions.
- Provides health education instruction and/or classes to individuals and families to promote and maintain health.
- Coordinates program services with other service providers and community organizations to promote optimal implementation.
- Develops and sustains community partnerships
- Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Serves as a mentor for new nurses and/or preceptors for nursing students.
- May manage specific program activities and/or specific program evaluations.
- May supervise support staff or employees.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND One year of PHN experience AND Current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse AND CPR certification
OR
Associate's degree/diploma in Nursing from an accredited college AND Two years of RN experience AND Completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.

Requires the ability to do so within the context of existing organizational theories and management principles.
Human Interaction: Requires the ability to function in a managerial capacity for a division or organizational unit; includes the ability to make decisions on procedural and technical levels.
Equipment, Machinery, Tools, and Materials Utilization: Requires the ability to operate and control the actions of equipment and machinery, requiring the monitoring, adjustment, regulation, and/or setting of multiple conditions.
Verbal Aptitude: Requires the ability to utilize a wide variety of reference, descriptive, advisory, and/or design data and information.
Mathematical Aptitude: Requires the ability to perform moderately complex algebraic and geometric operations; ability to utilize principles of basic probability and statistical inference.
Functional Reasoning: Requires the ability to apply principles of logical or synthesis functions; deal with concrete and abstract variables; and analyze major problems that require complex planning for interrelated activities that can span one or several work units.
Situational Reasoning: Requires the ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in critical and/or unexpected situations involving moderate risk to the organization.
