We are hiring a Pharmacists for one of our clients in Pompano Beach, FL.

Job Description:

• This is a highly responsible position for a Senior Pharmacist licensed in the state of Florida, able to perform the duties of a professional pharmacist.
• Responsible to ensure that all Federal, State, and Local safety standards are maintained to prevent injury to staff, patients and guest of the health facility.
• Dispenses prescriptions in accordance with various programs that the Health Department supports (i.e.: HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Family Planning, Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Epilepsy, Insulin, etc.).
• Duties include data entry of prescription information, dispensing medications, quality assurance, providing medication education and counselling to patients, and providing clinical assessment that is necessary to ensure patient safety and improve compliance.
• Provides drug information to health care professionals and/or clients as well as patient consultation.
• Instructs patients (and/or parents) on medication administration techniques as applicable.
• Maintains and monitors the records and medication profiles of patients enrolled in various programs.
• Ensures reconciliation for claims paid by Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) Runs reports from the pharmacy database as requested by the Pharmacy Services Program Administrator.
• Maintains a perpetual inventory control system for drugs and other items as appropriate. Orders drugs from wholesaler or supplier on a daily basis (or as required).
• Performs all duties and responsibilities as defined by the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
• Reports any problems/deficiencies to the Pharmacy Manager and/or Health Center Administrator and helps to develop solutions.
• Complies with policy and procedures regarding drug free workplace and HIPAA and is responsible for Information Security and HIPAA standards.
• Performs other duties as required.

• Pharmacist license
• Manage pharmacy tech.

Work hours:

• Monday – Friday,
• 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
