Power Plant Assistant/General Laborer Job at City of Horton
The City of Horton is seeking applicants for the position of a Power Plant Assistant/General Laborer.
This is a full-time position with a great benefit package that includes: KPERS retirement, health and life insurance, sick, holiday, and vacation leave.
This position will include assisting and maintaining with the operation of the electric generation plant as well as repair and maintenance of water lines, well houses, reading meters, and assisting other departments as needed. Assisting with seasonal mowing and weed eating will be an additional responsibility. Successful applicants should be able to operate or willing to learn to operate backhoe, skid steer, mowers, and other equipment.
Salary is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. Additional compensation will be offered for water and/or wastewater certifications.
