I have an immediate need for an in-home credentialed or master teacher for pre-K ELA in New York. The family is asking for a credentialed teacher or a teacher with a masters degree or a teacher working on their masters degree. Teacher must have experience teaching Pre-K readers.

The student is in Pre-K at The Learning Experience School. The family want a tutor to work with her for support with reading and writing.

She is very verbal and wants to learn but has not started sight words. They family have no materials. They would like the tutor to bring some and are open for the tutor to suggest more.

The goal is for the student to work with the tutor long-term and on an ongoing basis to make sure that she is confidently ahead and can read.

The family wants 1 hour sessions 2 times a week. They are available Monday through Friday from 3pm-6pm as well as Saturday through Sunday from 8am-6pm.

Job Requirements

• Teacher must be willing to work at the student's home in New York in the Financial District near Battery Park near the corner of Pearl Street and Whitehall Street.
• Teacher must be a credentialed/certified teacher or have a masters in education or be finishing a masters of education. Must have experience teaching pre-K students to read.
• Minimal travel required to meet with student (you decide the distance you are willing to travel, typically 5-10 miles)

Student Availability

MON-FRI 3pm-6pm

SAT-SUN 8am-6pm
