CAP is excited to announce that we are hiring an experienced Prevention Interventions Coordinator. The Prevention Interventions Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing HIV/STI testing and evidenced based interventions in partnership with the Manager of Clinical Health Services. Key responsibilities include: providing HIV/STI services through the tri-county region; recruiting and serving intervention participants; documentation responsibilities related to CAP’s HIV/STI testing and intervention services. This position is also expected to collaborate with HIV/STI testing staff to contribute to data management and contribute to the development of CAP’s testing procedures.

This half-time (0.5 FTE) position reports to the Manager of Clinical Health Services and will work out of CAP’s Davis St office.Travel throughout the region, as well as evening and weekend work, are required. This position must be able to successfully complete training appropriate for operating HIV/STI testing technologies and screening protocols.

NOTE: This is a non-management, union-represented position. The compensation, benefits, and conditions of work for this position are collectively bargained.

COMPENSATION: $23.38 hourly

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience conducting training for groups of people

· Strong initiative & self-starter with the ability to effectively solve problems. Emphasis is placed on the ability to work through/around barriers in order to move projects forward

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· 2 years of experience working in Community Health or 1-year experience working in Community Health combined with a Bachelor’s Degree in human/social services field (social work, public or community health, psychology) or related field

· Previous experience conducting HIV and/or STI counseling and testing and/or other sexual health services

· Experience with data entry, implementing data policies, and/or data verification.

· Strong understanding of HIV/STI prevention

· Experience working with ethnic, racial, economic, and sexually diverse populations and a strong understanding of issues relevant to gay/bi/trans men, people living with HIV, communities of color, and the LBGTQ+ community

· Desire and ability to engage in equity and inclusion initiatives and discussions in the workplace, including but not limited to: engaging in training workshops, team and department meetings, and critical discussions for how CAP can better serve the communities that we serve

· Demonstrated ability to work independently with accountability; exercise sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism at all times

· Demonstrated computer and keyboard proficiency using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook) and working knowledge of the internet including social media platforms and web-based applications

· Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.*

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Professional experience working on programs with a strong technical component.

· Previous experience in a clinical or medical setting.

· Previous experience, certification, or training in phlebotomy

CAP cares about the safety of our team members and clients.
