JOB TITLE: Primary Therapist
REPORTS TO: Clinical Supervisor
Location: Poulsbo, WA

We work with a wide range of patients struggling with behavioral issues, substance use disorders, and mental health problems. We’re seeking an experienced Primary Therapist who is eager to make a difference in clients’ lives and provide services in partnership with a local non-profit organization in Poulsbo, WA. Furthermore, the candidate should be willing to listen and work closely with their clients to understand their needs and find the best approach to helping them achieve their goals.

The right person for this position will be employed by AMFM Healthcare, however the primary workplace will be at Fishline Foodbank providing short term therapy and community resources to the residents of Kitsap County, while working collaboratively with a non-profit organization.

AMFM Healthcare Therapy Services include:

  • Onsite or remote counseling for clients and family systems.
  • Crisis assessment and intervention.
  • Group counseling, as Fishline agency partners need.
  • Community referrals, as needed and appropriate for the clients needs.


Schedule: 24 hours per week. 8:30am-5:00pm, 3 weekdays per week.

Location: AMFM Healthcare's Therapist will provide services on-site at Fishline Foodbank and Comprehensive Services facility at: 19075 NW Viking Ave, Poulsbo, WA 98370.

Logistics:

  • Fishline Case Managers and AMFM Healthcare team will sign a Release of Information
    (ROI) to share critical information for client care. After the ROI is signed, the
    Fishline Receptionist will help schedule and make referral appointments for the
    AMFM Healthcare Therapist.
  • Provide data regarding Fishline client outcomes and sessions completed by
    AMFM Healthcare Therapist, in compliance with reasonable schedule and documentation
    needs requested by Fishline


Responsibilities:

  • Weekly individual sessions and weekly measured based care assessments.
  • BPSA and MTP within 7 days from admit, and ongoing documentation of clinical services.
  • Assess clients for suicidal risk, trauma, abuse, and exploitation and communicate directly with Clinical Director.
  • Adheres to any and all joint commission standards.
  • Consults with Psychiatrist or other specialists concerning treatment plan and amends plan as directed.
  • Conducts peer counseling groups and family counseling during clinical therapy sessions.
  • Facilitate psycho-educational, topic, and process groups.
  • Complete charting and documentation in accordance with documentation policies and procedures within 24 hours of completion of clinical session.


Qualifications; Education; and/or Experience:

  • Masters level education required.
  • EMDR Certified preferred.
  • Past experience with substance abuse or mental health required.
  • Hands-on experience in Groups (process, psycho educational, and topic), Family Therapy, Individual Therapy (wide range of modalities accepted), and working with clients with addiction issues.


Certifications and/or Licenses:

  • Must hold Washington State Independent or Associate license in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy.

  • Must be able to pass a federal background check.

  • CPR and First Aid certified.
