Description
SAIC is seeking a Principal Program Acquisition Specialist to provide programmatic support to a program within the Program Executive Office's Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power portfolio in El Segundo, California.
The following represents a general overview of duties and responsibilities:
- Provide advice to the Program/Project Manager and Senior Air Force Leadership regarding acquisition strategies, contracting, budgeting and execution
- Develop/coordinate overarching program planning and execution documents as prescribed by/tailored from DoDI 5000.02, and relevant DoD, AF, and local unit policies that pertain to rapid prototyping
- Provide technical and programmatic assessments of contractor design/milestone reviews to assess progress, risks and issues, and the ability to achieve mission requirements
- Provide feedback and, or recommendations on the use of various contract types/strategies and impacts of fiscal law constraints for various stages of the program lifecycle
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of related experience (Master’s degree with 12+) in:
- Government weapon systems acquisitions
- Program management within the Department of Defense
- Contracts Management within the Department of Defense
- Must have an active Top Secret clearance with in-scope SSBI/T5 and have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI for Special Programs. Must be willing to consent to a counter-intelligence polygraph.
- US Citizenship required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master Degree in Business Management or technical management track
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMI PMP)
- Experience in the National Security Space and, or the Space Control mission area

Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
