The main job will be to print, cut, assemble and package items for weddings (place cards, table numbers, invitations, etc.) The job requires you to work from my home office in Tuckahoe.

Major Responsibilities

• Manage printing queue to ensure projects run smoothly - monitoring output for quality control and quantity needed, feeding paper, etc.
• Cutting down prints to size with speed and precision
• Punching holes and tying ribbons
• Packaging orders
• Assist in managing inventory by flagging supplies that are low for reorder
• Some printer maintenance required - replacing ink, running automatic cleaning, fixing print jams

Requirements

• Hours are flexible but must be willing to commit to a minimum of 3 hours in a shift and work 8-16 hours a week. Example schedules could be: M-Th 10 am - 2 pm, M & W 9 am - 5 pm, etc. Hours can change week to week on occasion.
• Knowledge of Mac OSX and IOS devices
• Understanding the basics of printing (you’ve used a printer, you’ve printed complicated jobs like envelopes, hundreds of sheets, specialized paper or double-sided jobs that required you to monitor the output)
• DIY curiosity and a student’s attitude - You love to figure out why something isn’t working and solve it. You enjoy working with your hands. You like to learn new things and aren’t afraid to ask questions.
• Detail-oriented - Yes, every job puts this skill but I mean it! You will be required to count paper and count it twice, use a critical eye to evaluate if the printer needs to be cleaned before continuing a job, decide if something needs to be reprinted because it’s not straight, etc.

Experience Needed:

- 1 year’s experience in a print / graphic design environment or equivalent studies / DIY experience

Job Type: Part Time; Seasonal

Pay: $16 / hour

Schedule: 8-16 hours 9 am - 6 pm M-F. Hours flexible.
