Job Purpose:
To guarantee the operation of machinery within design and product specifications as per the production plan within the agreed quality standards, with minimum wastage and assist with necessary “trouble shooting” process wherever necessary to produce highest quality product with higher efficiency.

Main Specifications:

ã Job Knowledge:

ð Minimum Qualification : High school diploma or GED

ð Field of specialization : Adequate exposure in Industrial Production / Knowledge of Industrial machines / Ability to learn industrial maintenance concepts / Assist with general machine maintenance activities / Quality concepts / Ability to assist with Preventive & corrective maintenance / Hands on / Multiskilled person / Highly Safety Conscious

ð Specialized Training : Training in ISO – 9000 : 2000 / Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) preferred / Basic computer skills

ã General Skills required : Quality conscious /Analytical / Focused / Self starter / Team Player / Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repetitively. Able to bend, stoop, and stand for 12 hours at a time.

ã Experience : Minimum of six months experience in Industrial production and machine operation area preferred

Job Accountabilities / Content:

ã Adhere to all rules, guidelines, and safety standards as stated in the Essel Propack Employee Handbook

ã To assist in preparation of the machine as per job card and production plan

ã To assist in carryout of daily preventive maintenance in the beginning of the shift including L1 functions

ã To operate machines and make labels as per the given design conditions and process parameters

ã To take care of system compliance in the shifts

ã To complete PAO defect log and any other paperwork as required

ã To identify, isolate, and contain defects to levels of: major, minor, and critical; and inform the Process Technician of related findings.

ã To carryout in-process inspection on tubes as per the guidelines including entering quality checks

ã To work with Process Technician in undertaking (in conjunction with production supervisor and maintenance personnel) troubleshooting, machine breakdowns and tool changes.

ã To identify problem areas and inform Process Technician with suggestions for improvements

ã To meet production targets as committed to clients without compromising safety and quality standards

ã To assist in maintaining production & quality records for the shift. i.e.

· Daily reports

· Monthly reports – Shift efficiency, Machine efficiency, Control charts

· ISO documentation

· Scrap Computation

ã To work as a team, to bring about measures for higher machine efficiencies and reduction in wastage on a continuous basis.

ã To implement systems to enhance quality improvements to meet customer expectations.

ã To maintain housekeeping standards as per GMP

ã To conduct yourself in a manner that coincides with the ethical standards and guidelines for conduct as listed in the EP Handbook.

ã Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Job Context:

To achieve production target with high efficiency, without compromising safety or quality standards within the time frame set by clients.

Problem Solving:

To work as team player in establishing system improvements and sustaining it for longer period. Creating ownership among the production team and encourage team exercises.

Decision Making:

All decision pertaining to daily machine operations can be made by jobholder with assistance of Process Technician, Production supervisor, and/ or superintendent of operations'
