Job Specific Duties:

  • Gathers information to evaluate current work processes in order to determine the flow of work, time requirements, costs, and duration
  • Develops strategies and programs that improve the productivity and efficiency of the various work processes of the company
  • Standardizes the improved processes across the unit, department, facility, organization
  • Supports Technical and Corporate Process Engineering efforts in developing the industrialization of new processes and/or procedures within the plant
  • Works to improve process capability and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) through standardization of process improvement activities and opportunities
  • Responsible for assisting in the review of equipment failures and analyzing equipment histories to identify trends in specific repetitive failures, to effectively identify root causes and address identified areas for improvements with Corporate Process Engineering
  • Identifies potential for cost reduction through improved equipment reliability and process capability by equipment and or process modifications that extended parts life, reduced labor cost, and other reliability-related improvement techniques
  • Implements best practices in an effort to maintain standardization and improve equipment and process performance
  • Assists in the development and standardization for new construction and equipment purposes
  • Applies various industrial engineering problem solving and productivity techniques to evaluate the improvement of recommended strategies and programs
  • Instructs others in process improvements, including the use of various problem solving and productivity techniques such as process mapping and cost time management
  • Facilitates employee teams to build cohesiveness and improve the overall results of the respective teams' tasks
  • Provides adequate reporting to plant management and Corporate Process Engineering that identifies areas of opportunity and documents progress on improvements designed, implemented and controlled by their efforts


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 3 to 5 years related (i.e. manufacturing, etc.) experience and/or training
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
