Procurement Manager Job at Altium Packaging LP
The Procurement Manager will work with corporate procurement on negotiating plant supply agreements while helping to ensure supply continuity.
Job Description – Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Oversees the procurement of multiple strategic commodity areas including resins, colorants, manufacturing supplies, papers, films, equipment R&M, Facility R&M, waste management, recycling, pest control, lawn care, and janitorial
· Develop strong communication based relationship with all suppliers while creating a database for all contacts and applicable contact information within the JDE system that is updates and sustained every 6 months.
· Assure weekly review of inventory report (less manufactured goods) to assure min/max targets are maintained and risk elimination to the manufacturing process.
· Approve and reconcile all invoices within the JDE system with the accounting team.
· Provide weekly documented updates to the business leaders.
Additional Job Information (Minimum Requirements/Preferred Qualifications)
· Must be highly organized
· Must be capable of meeting, negotiating with, and conducting sessions with vendors and should be comfortable developing and presenting category sourcing recommendations for management
· 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or related field with demonstrated skills in sourcing, negotiating, and analysis of quotes and other economic data analytics
· Excellent communication and analytical skills are essential
· Proficiency in Word, Excel and Powerpoint
· Experience with One World (JD Edwards) a plus
