Procurement Support Specialist – Quincy, IL
This is a full time, exempt position

ADM Animal Nutrition, a division of Archer Daniels Midland Company, is seeking an ambitious individual for a Procurement Support Specialist role to be based at the Quincy, IL office and report to the Director, NA Micro Purchasing.

Position Responsibilities

• Support vendor relationships by following up on vendor inquires on late payments and working with Accounts Payable to resolve open issues with vendor invoices supporting both the Animal Nutrition and Pet Solutions Direct Procurement and Commodity Purchasing.
• Submit requests for setting up new vendors. This would include obtaining any required paperwork necessary to fulfill Quality Assurance requirements and Accounts Payable requirements.
• Analyze and update monthly reports providing key purchasing statistics to Animal Nutrition Global buyers.
• Support NA procurement team by ensuring ingredient documents are current and complete.
• Analyze vendor data to support NA procurement team in purchasing related decision making.
• Be a resource for peers and management and work seamlessly with other internal customers including pricing, formulations, customer service, production, quality, and regulatory teams.
• Assume lead role on specialty ingredient movement between Animal Nutrition plants.
• Timely, accurate and professional communication with internal and external customers.

Position Requirements

• BS degree in Accounting, Business, or Animal Science
• Demonstrated leadership
• Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to productively utilize Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, Oracle, and Powerpoint.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Team Player

Physical Requirements:

• Working at a desk on a computer for extended periods.
• Working on the telephone
