Job Description:

In this role, you will work closely with creative and technical disciplines to design the look, feel, and interaction of the Company’s Design System through UI tokens & components, usage documentation, and foundational patterns that empower the Company’s public-facing product experiences. Additionally, this hands-on design role will help educate designers to ensure UI consistency by contributing to our product design language for iOS, Android, and Web. You will support the production of intuitive and efficient user experiences, as well as mentor other designers by guiding them through the implementation of the design system standards.

Job Qualifications:

• Experienced designer who continually advocates for best-in-class design practices and trends.
• Systems thinker with hands-on experience contributing to the design system libraries for enterprise products.
• Communicating clearly and displaying exceptional collaboration skills by breaking down silos between designers and developers is your specialty.
• Extremely capable of working with a sense of urgency and high standards of quality and consistency.

Job Qualifications (Required):

• Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (or other job-related field) and two (2) years of experience OR three (3) years of experience in user experience/ interaction design.
• Present a diverse portfolio of engaging experiences.
• Experience with user experience, HCI, or interaction design.
• Knowledge and experience delivering design within agile teams.
• Knowledge of asset management tools (i.e., JIRA).
• Understanding of how design systems add value and communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders, designers, and developers.
• Welcome design critique and consistently iterate based on feedback.
• Ability to collaborate and/or self-start on a cross-functional team.
• Ability to design for mobile-first experiences.
• Deliver value to the business through well-crafted and timely work.
• Experience with web development is a huge plus.

LOCATION: Onsite/Hybrid in Chicago, IL

POSITION: 7-month assignment

HOURS PER WEEK: 40

HOURS PER DAY: 8

SALARY: $100 - $105.00 hourly
