International Paper is searching for a full-time Production Equipment Mechanic!

We are seeking a self-motivated individual who can perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment. Our company requires workers who understand business needs while prioritizing safety, customer satisfaction, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities involve, but are not limited to:

Adhering to safety rules and guidelines

Conducting preventive maintenance tasks, such as measuring wear, lubrication, repositioning components, observing vibrations, noise levels, and positions

Performing emergency maintenance or break down maintenance when necessary to support plant operations

Accurate utilization of measurement and test equipment

Performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other installations and repairs as needed

Keeping workspaces clean and organized and cleaning them after completing assigned tasks

Accurately and thoroughly maintaining maintenance records and other documentation

Troubleshooting and resolving issues

Working collaboratively with other associates

Completing other tasks assigned by management

The following competencies are required:

Mechanical aptitude

Troubleshooting skills

Electrical knowledge

Candidates must be willing to work overtime and weekends, if necessary.

**Minimum qualifications: **

A high school degree or equivalent experience

Five years of maintenance mechanic experience.

Highly qualified candidates would have a technical degree or apprenticeship certification with maintenance experience in the corrugated industry or a similar manufacturing setting.

The starting wage range is $27.50 to $32.00 per hour, based on experience and licenses, with a signing bonus of up to $2000.00. One week of paid vacation is provided after six months of employment!

Candidates selected will be required to complete a computerized test on job-related skills, a panel interview, a pre-employment health assessment, drug screening, and a background check.
