Currently, we’re seeking a Production Manager to join our team and manage warehouse production/operations within our fulfillment center located in Lowell, Arkansas. This professional multitasker will manage and oversee the receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities within the warehouse, ensuring quality standards are met at every turn. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail oriented, and able to track multiple facets of the warehouse at any given time. The ideal candidate must be able to motivate and mentor the warehouse personnel to achieve production goals, coordinate orders, achieve excellence in quality, inventory, and labor management activities, ultimately overseeing the fulfillment of thousands of products orders every year.
Objectives of this Role
- Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals
- Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping
- Develop and report daily production metrics, including cost per unit, labor variance, cycle count variance, etc.
- Implement and lead Lean Principal philosophies throughout all processes impacting warehouse operations.
- Implement continuous improvement and Six Sigma methodologies throughout the operations processes.
- Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
- Oversee daily operations, while ensuring a safe working environment and quality throughout the workflows.
- Review and prepare workflow, labor and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics; or High school diploma/GED & 3 years of progressive warehouse work experiences.
- 1+ years’ experience in a warehouse lead role managing hourly employees
- Proficient at Microsoft Office applications; including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy
- Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
- Ability to work with all levels of company staff
- Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback
- Experience with WMS (i.e., SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (English, Spanish)
- Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics
- Experience leading managers
- Expert knowledge of WMS process, transactions, and controls
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
