2nd shift Production Supervisor

White Castle Distributing – Vandalia, OH

Exempt Position

2nd Shift: 2:00pm to 10:30pm

(hours can change based on the needs of the plant)

The Production Supervisor produces high quality White Castle products at the least cost. This individual must ensure that an adequate number of trained team members are on the line to produce hamburgers, while also making sure team members follow company GMP’s, SQF, HACCP and all food safety regulations. This person will assist in staffing the line positions, checking quality and conditions of raw and finished goods throughout the process and inventories of packaging, buns, and meat. This person will develop strategies and alternatives to meet daily production rates and ensure they are implemented correctly.

What we are looking for:

• College Degree is preferred. High School diploma or GED is required.
• Must have knowledge of how all production equipment operates and be able to function efficiently at any of the line positions.
• Food supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of math, inventory procedures, time cards, and scheduling is required, either through education, training and/or experience.
• Must have supervisory experience and be able to direct and motivate team members.
• Must have computer experience with knowledge of Word and Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Must be flexible to change schedule and hours of work to meet the needs of the plant.

What you will do:

• Select, develop, train and ensure the production line is properly staffed.
• Schedule line staff, control overtime, and resolve any scheduling conflicts.
• Setup and shut down of the production line to ensure all equipment is operational and utensils, raw materials, trash cans, are put in their proper place for the beginning and end of the shift.
• Monitor work stations and product quality during production.
• Supply the front office with the necessary information to complete the daily and weekly production reports.
• Provide team members with managerial direction.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to be on feet for extended periods of time and lift, push or pull 75 pounds with regularity.
• Bending, turning, twisting, stooping, standing and lifting.
