Production Supervisor

Location: Jacksonville, FL, US

Shift: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 5:00am - 6:00pm

Position Overview:

Responsible for leading the Module and Cell Manufacturing teams. Supervises employees in all areas assigned for production, including electrode preparation, cell manufacturing, formation, and packaging, module and covers. Is responsible for overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the production areas assigned. KPI's are safety, quality, scrap costs, and labor costs. Coordinates cell and module manufacturing activities with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams. Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. The Production Supervisor has a direct link to production/operations management and is responsible for ensuring the execution of operational plan, investigation of operational issues to report to department leadership, assisting in the tracking of key KPIs, and management of personnel schedules/timecards.

Job Duties:

• Supports leadership by ensuring planned schedules and outputs are met. Acts as the second step of escalation for quality, production, and downtime issues for the operations team. Intervenes and makes decisions as appropriate by securing support from necessary departments.
• Ensures compliance with all company safety policies to ensure accident-free facility. May be required to lift heavy objects up to 35 pounds, stand for long periods of time or kneel in small places for extended amounts of time. Physical upper body strength and agility is required.
• Supports world class methods such as 5-S, PDCA, Problem Solving, Visual Management, Line Organization, Pull-Flow, kanban. Initiates and completes 5-why or other problem solving whenever a defect is found.
• Support data collection as needed for problem solving, kaizen events, or for KPI reporting. Aid in reporting of data for KPI tracking. Upkeep KPI charts and data for reporting in Loop meetings.
• Manage training schedules and ensure training checklists are up-to-date and completed on time.
• Completes various administrative assignments as needed including inventory control through backflushing, cycle counting, and transfers. Participates in the production schedule planning process.
• Creates and Updates WI's, visual aids, deviations, and other documentation as needed for the operation within the CEBOS system. Carries out training events on WI's as needed.
• Upkeep employee timecards and schedule in ADP system. Ensure employees are kept up to date with HR communications and policies and help ensure compliance.
