POSITION SUMMARY: The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for managing customer programs for the Stellar Blu satellite terminal and system. In the role, the PM will be responsible for scheduling performance, assessing risk and opportunities for the installation, and resource management. The ideal candidate will have experience with aviation systems and complex installations onto commercial aircraft.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage customer programs and represent the company to those customers. Customers will include STC projects, line fit programs, and system development.
- Create and maintain master program schedules using Microsoft Project
- Manage part deliveries to customer programs and oversee installation activities.
- Lead regular program reviews, PDR's, CDR's and other critical milestones in the program
- Integrate program aspects with the SBS engineering team and aid with the engineering's team activities.
- Assists management in developing timely and efficient procedures and processes that accomplish the short and long term goals and objectives of the organization. Provides suggestions and recommendations.
- Participates in developing department policies and procedures and ensures that they support and complement company-wide strategic objectives.
- Responsible to follow the policies and procedures in a consistent and professional manner.
- Manage assigned products and programs to ensure early involvement and full supplier integration and utilization
- Assumes responsibility for maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with Company personnel and management.
- Ensure the team performs to committed schedules, budgets, terms, conditions, and requirements of the programs
- Manage procurement Key Performance Indicators including transaction time, timely delivery, quality, and cost
- Collaborates with Executive and Senior leadership team to ensure companywide initiatives and business objectives are met.
- Manages the enterprise strategy for the Planning, Stores, Materials Management and Supplier Management departments at SBS.
- Contributes to, and provides support of, proposal development, strategic planning and budgeting.
- Provides support to cross-functional project teams as well as external customer and vendor team members.
- Shares knowledge across organizational boundaries and promotes continuous process improvement.
- Ensures program activities are compliant with all Company processes and requirements, and local, state and federal laws and regulatory requirements.
- Maintains regular attendance including being at work, being on time to work and working full shifts.
- Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree (BS) in Business or a related field or equivalent.
- 5 years or more of experience in similar role
- Project Management experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Aerospace experience
- Strong scheduling experience using Microsoft Project and office products
- Additional related training and education preferred
- Experience with Agile or similar project planning and development processes

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in indoor settings. The indoor settings include office and warehouse environments which require the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as safety gear.
WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must be able to legally work in the US without sponsorship. Must be able to pass a post offer DOT drug test upon hire.
