Program Manager

The Program Manager is responsible for overall program assessment, planning and integration of departmental programmatic initiatives. Provides effective management and administration of programs for Workforce Health & Safety at NYP. Responsibilities include development and management of WH&S programs and products, assessment of capacity to provide contracted WHS services, internal and external communications and marketing.

Preferred Criteria

  • Master’s Degree in Marketing Business or Hospital Administration or any related fi eld
  • Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Healthcare administration
  • Knowledge of Clinical policies and procedure
  • Knowledge of Fiscal management systems and technique
  • Knowledge of Human resources management practices, supervision and staff development
  • Knowledge of Government regulations pertaining to hospital-based employee health programs
  • Knowledge of Reimbursement techniques
  • Knowledge of Medical terminology and coding techniques
  • Experienced in the use of quality improvement techniques and tools

Required Criteria

  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum of five years of related experience in the health care industry
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relations
  • Knowledge of Exercising initiative, judgment, innovative thinking, problem solving, and decision making
  • Knowledge of Developing and maintaining effective relationships with physicians, staff, hospital
  • executives, clients, regulators, patients and the community
  • Knowledge of Organizing work to achieve department goals
