Position Overview:
Staff are responsible for assisting the Qualified Professional with tasks to provide services for individuals in the day program. The position is responsible for any licensure requirements, budgetary requirements, and clinical rules and guidelines as established by federal and state rules. This staff is supervised by a Qualified Professional.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
*
Administrative:*
- Ensure that the required documentation for reimbursement of hours worked, work-related mileage, contract services, use of PTO, vehicle maintenance reports, safety and environmental checks and any other required reports are prepared and submitted.
- Ensure compliance with ComServ, Inc. personnel and contract policies related to hiring, suspending, and separation of employment.
- Submit work-related mileage, per diem for expense reimbursement, and monthly report of PTO used.
- Ensure and monitor that billing processes are completed correctly and in a timely manner in conjunction with the Reimbursement Officer.
- Attend all Leadership Meetings.
- Assists/complete the new hire process by reviewing applications and scheduling initial and follow up interviews. Adheres to steps described in ComServ policy related to new hires.
- Ensures ComServ safety policies and procedures are followed.
- Maintains all company property entrusted to your cares, custody or control to assure safety and extend the item’s life. This includes responsibility to purchase, distribute, and supervise the use of resources such as, but not limited to the following: food, supplies, clothing, small equipment items and other appropriate needs for the program.
Financial:
- Monitor to ensure that all authorized services are authorized, maximized and do not lapse.
- In conjunction with the Reimbursement Officer, ensure and monitor that billing
processes are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
Supervision
- Monitor that staff training/contract individual training is provided in a comprehensive, timely and economical fashion at the direction of the QP.
- Ensure, implement and monitor programmatic recommendations in a timely fashion at the direction of the QP.
- Ensure individuals are monitored routinely while present in the program.
- Monitor and ensure operations of the program units.
- Ensure staff issues/problems are related to the Program Director or QP.
- Monitor core training is completed and updated as required/needed.
- Ensures consents for service are updated yearly and completed at admissions.
- In coordination with the Program Coordinator ensure that individual services are implemented, covered and completed on a daily basis.
- Coordinate all activities in conjunction with the Qualified Professional.
- Monitor all medications and physician orders for the day program.
Regulatory:
- Ensure administration of medications is monitored.
- Ensure medical aspects of person centered plans are monitored and followed; as specified by the Qualified Professional.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state guidelines regarding licensure and regulatory standards, including ComServ, Inc. Policy and Procedures and accreditation bodies.
- Monitors that all billing is completed in compliance with all federal, state and private funding regulations.
- Monitors compliance with HIPPA regulations and Human Rights for assigned program areas.
- Have an extensive knowledge of policies and procedures specific to program areas assigned and a working knowledge and adhere to all ComServ, Inc. Policies and Procedures.
- Provides for any required information regarding investigations and /or follow up to any alleged human rights violation

Documentation:*
- Acts as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team.
- Assesses and develops programs based on individual’s needs.
- Trains, teaches and monitors staff’s implementation of all goals.
- Trains, teaches, and monitors individual goals specific to the individuals.
- Ensures that all individuals are provided active treatment.
- Ensure that staff are providing services based on the current PCP developed by the Qualified Professional.
- Ensures that consent forms are completed as required by program specific guidelines.
- Participates in quarterly Peer Reviews and ensures that records maintain compliance with problem areas recognized by the review.
- Documents any investigative actions per policy.
- Completes Individual Evaluations upon admission and annually thereafter.

Clinical:*
- Attends quarterly Human Rights meetings as needed.
- Monitor staff related to individual’s program goals.
- Monitor and ensure health and safety of individuals as required per ComServ, Inc. policy and procedure.
- Monitor and participate in admissions and discharges as needed.
- Monitor and ensure that all restrictive interventions/human rights violations and any Level II and III incident reports are reported.
- Monitor and ensure that individuals are informed of Human Rights at admission and annually thereafter until discharge. Educate the individual at any opportunity regarding their Human Rights.
- Maintain formal and informal contact with parents and guardians as needed.
- Ensures that individuals receive medication education regarding their prescribed medications.
- Monitors staff as they implement behavior support plans, follow the plans and document required data. Report any problems to the Qualified Professional.
Direct Support:
- Provide direct support on an as needed basis.
Other:
- Attend all organization training required of position. Attend any outside training and education as approved or assigned by supervisor.
- Act as a role model for other ComServ, Inc. staff and individuals receiving services.
- Adhere to ComServ, Inc. corporate mission, vision and philosophy.
- Participate on committees as assigned by supervisor.
- Employee in this position must be flexible with schedule and make changes as requested or required by position responsibilities.
- Ensure that all ComServ, Inc. equipment or vehicle used in conducting the responsibilities of this position is used in a responsible manner and maintained properly.
- Perform other duties deemed appropriate by supervisor.

Must be adaptable and flexible to perform under moderate levels of stress when confronted with an emergency. A valid driver’s license for the current state of residence and a safe driving record acceptable under ComServ’s liability carrier is required.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
High School degree or equivalency plus at least five years of experience in goal planning, writing of goals and administration of a day program.
